The Millennium Agricultural Project (MAP-10) is a flagship initiative by YOREISA aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape and empowering various stakeholders, including youth, farmers, and senior citizens. The project seeks to boost agricultural productivity, promote sustainable livelihoods, and foster economic growth.

Components

  1. New Direction for the Transformation of Almajiri System (NDTAS)
    • Objective: Empower Islamic teachers and students in agriculture, promoting self-sufficiency and economic independence.
    • Activities:
      • Training on crop and animal production, farm management, and entrepreneurship.
      • Establishment of demonstration farms and agricultural training centers.
      • Provision of inputs, such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.
    • Impact:
      • Enhances food security, reduces poverty, and promotes sustainable livelihoods.
      • Increases agricultural productivity among Almajiri students.
      • Improves livelihoods for Islamic teachers and students.

  2. GROUP OF FIVE (G-5)
    • Objective: Promote collective farming and enhance productivity among small-scale farmers.
    • Activities:
      • 5 farmers cultivate 20 hectares of land, sharing resources, knowledge, and expertise.
      • Training on modern farming practices, such as conservation agriculture and integrated pest management.
      • Provision of inputs, such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.
    • Impact:
      • Increases crop yields, improves income, and fosters cooperation among farmers.
      • Enhances food security and promotes sustainable agriculture.
    • Key Outcomes:
      • Increased crop yields and income for participating farmers.

      • 10 farmers cultivate 40 hectares of land, leveraging technology, and best practices.
      • Training on modern farming practices, such as precision agriculture and irrigation management.
      • Provision of inputs, such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.

      • Enhances food security, increases income, and promotes agricultural commercialization.
      • Improves access to markets and technology for farmers.

      • 20 farmers cultivate 40 hectares of land, sharing resources, and expertise.
      • Training on modern farming practices, such as cooperative management and marketing.
      • Provision of inputs, such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.

      • Promotes sustainable agriculture, enhances income, and empowers farmers.
      • Improves cooperation and collective action among farmers.

    • Objective: Empower senior citizens through poultry, fish, and milk production.
    • Activities:
      • Training on modern farming practices, such as poultry management and fish farming.
      • Provision of inputs, such as feeds, vaccines, and equipment.
      • Establishment of demonstration farms and agricultural training centers.
    • Impact:
      • Enhances income, promotes food security, and improves livelihoods for senior citizens.
      • Improves nutrition and health outcomes for participating households.
